Hey, fighters!

If you want to check out what’s in the Detonix deck, click here.

Take note that this build is one that is used for this cardfight. Changes may have been already made at this point in time by the owner. You are welcome to learn from this deck profile, if you are looking to build one, but we highly encourage you to build yours to fit you.

First Vanguard
Colorful Smiling, Fratte

Triggers:-
4 Impact Punch, Michiru (Critical)
4 Dreamer Dreamer, Kruk (Stand)
2 Heartful Ale, Fundy (Draw)
2 Voice of Fate, Kasumi (Draw)
4 Sweet Temptation, Riko (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
4 Dash Sisters, Rabel
2 New Song Announcement, Alti
3 Piping Hot, Suifa
4 Miracle Twintail, Wyz (Sentinel-PG)

Grade 2s:-
4 Inspect Sisters, Robel
4 Shyness Laguna, Lapla

Grade 3s:-
4 Peaceful Voice, Raindear
2 Skillful Performer, Minori
2 Splash Daughter, Rachel
4 Velvet Voice, Raindear

Strides and G Guardians:-
2 Flying Mermaid, Frederica
4 Celebrate Voice, Lauris
4 School Etoile, Olyvia
2 Lucky Rise, Elprina
2 Hand in Hand, Leona (G-Guardian)
2 Sailor’s Medley, Nasha (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • Building a Raindear build in the past was a nightmare. There weren’t enough viable cards that could work with her and her skill was nothing more than a gimmick. With the new supports from G-CB03, though, it is now possible to build a Raindear deck with all her supports in play.
  • A Raindear build centers around doing stuff when you drive check a Grade 3, similar to the Dimensional Robos. As such, in order to fully utilize her potential, you will need to maximise the number of Grade 3s you have as much as possible. In my current deck, I run a total of 12 Grade 3s.
  • In addition to the 12 Grade 3s, there a total of 8 cards (4 Grade 1s, 4 Grade 2s) that will become a Grade 3 in the trigger zone – Dash Sisters, Rabel and Inspect Sisters, Robel. They have their own respective skills when you drive check a Grade 3 as well, sending themselves back to the deck in order to increase your hand size or refresh your damage zone, ready for a second round of Grade 3 checking.
  • Piping Hot, Suifa is a good independent attacker as she instantly becomes an 11000 Power attacker when you activate her skill from the back row. Make sure you check a Grade 3 and that the rear-guard circle in front of her is empty, so that you can get yourself an extra attack. Not only that, she also makes any Velvet Voice, Raindear in front of her an 11000 Power as well.
  • Peaceful Voice, Raindear is a huge step up from Velvet Voice, Raindear for a number of reasons. The first being that she has a base power of 11000 Power, letting her sustain better on the field without the need of throwing an extra card to guard. Secondly, her rear-guard skill activates at the end of the battle that you drive check a Raindear, moving her to the Vanguard circle if she’s in Stand. In other words, you get a pseudo-restanding Vanguard, with the chance of doing an additional drive check with her Vanguard skill if you drive check a Grade 3.
  • For this deck, it is perfectly fine for you to draw triggers, because you would want to keep the number of Grade 3s in your deck as much as possible. Use the triggers you drew to help you guard, and keep the grade 3 game high.
  • Even though this build is bound by the trial deck rule and thus only plays 2 G units, you’ll quickly realise that Raindear does not work with strides very well as most useful skills exist on the Vanguard circle. It would be wiser to use Peaceful Voice, Raindear’s Vanguard skill to gain an additional drive check, albeit with the cost of one card from your hand into the soul.
  • This deck ultimately tests your luck and how much you believe in your deck, as RNG is really high. There will be times you won’t be able to drive check any Grade 3s at all, but that is all just part and parcel of Vanguard, so don’t give up and keep on pushing through.

Cardfight #73: Dempster’s Thavas Aqua Force Deck Profile

Hey, fighters!

Cardfight #73 sees us pit Dempster’s Thavas Aqua Force deck against ZaCaptain’s Celestial Angel Feather deck. You can check the video above to see the bout, but if you’re interested in seeing the Thavas deck profile, we have it in this post.

If you want to check out what’s in the Celestial deck, click here.

First Vanguard
Kelpie Rider, Mitros

Triggers:-
4 Kelpie Rider, Petros (Critical)
4 Dolphin Soldier of Leaping Windy Seas (Stand)
4 Officer Cadet, Alekbors (Stand)
4 Battle Siren, Carolina (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
2 Battle Siren, Melania
4 Battle Siren, Stacia
3 Kelpie Rider, Nikki
4 Battle Siren, Phaidra (Sentinel-PG)

Grade 2s:-
4 Battle Siren, Adelaide
4 Battle Siren, Janka
2 Kelpie Rider, Nikitas
2 Magnum Assault

Grade 3s:-
4 Marine General of Twin Bullets, Cretas
4 One Who Surpasses the Storm, Thavas

Strides and G Guardians:-
2 Marine General of Heavenly Silk, Aristotle
4 Marine General of Heavenly Silk, Lambros
4 Storm Dominator, Commander Thavas
2 Storm of Lament, Wailing Thavas
2 Blue Storm Deterrence Dragon, Ice Barrier Dragon (G-Guardian)
2 Guard Leader of Sky and Water, Flotia (G-Guardian_

Notes:-

  • This is the very Thavas deck featured in the fight against Maiden Of, with cards swapped out in order to maximize the Wave keyword. Some cards that are considered staples still stay in the deck, such as Magnum Assault, Battle Siren, Stacia and so on. In short, this deck is very flexible in that it allows you to play with the Wave mechanic while still maintaining what made a Thavas deck good in the beginning.
  • Battle Siren, Janka is the main reason why this deck is as maximized with as many cards with the Wave ability as possible. Her attack gets higher the more cards you have on the field, Vanguard included, with the Wave ability.
  • Kelpie Rider, Nikitas plays back to when Aqua Force first came out, with the ability to swap positions with another rear-guard. His other skill of getting 2000 Power allows him to hit the Vanguard for a 5000 Shield guard, and it doesn’t even have a GB restriction to it.
  • As you have seen, the Thavas deck also plays to retiring your opponent’s rear-guards and, with the addition of Wailing Thavas, it makes sure that your opponent will not have anything on the field at the end of your turn (unless they all have Resist). Because his skills deal with how many times your rear-guards have attacked this turn (restanding and attacking again still counts as only 1 unit that attacked), having cards that either swap positions or attack from the back row will help you maximize his retiring power. Not only that, his other skill adds 5000 Power for each rear-guard that has attacked, forcing more and more cards out of your opponent’s hand that is not a Perfect Guard.
  • Dolphin Soldier of Leaping Windy Seas is a great, if not the best alternative to Officer Cadet, Alekbors in that it not only helps you rack up the number of Waves during your turn, it can also hit your opponent’s vanguard at 11000 Power with its skill, in addition to adding one more card to your hand and refreshing your stand triggers in your deck.

Cardfight #73: Dempster’s Thavas Aqua Force Deck Profile

Cardfight #63: Dempster’s Blue Storm Aqua Force Deck Profile

Hey, fighters!

Cardfight #63 sees us pit Dempster’s Blue Storm Aqua Force deck against our friend’s Witch Shadow Paladin deck, played by ZaCaptain. You can check the video above to see the bout, but if you’re interested in seeing the Blue Storm deck profile, we have it in this post.

If you want to check out what’s in the Witch deck, click here.

Take note that this build is one that is used for this cardfight. Changes may have been already made at this point in time by the owner. You are welcome to learn from this deck profile, if you are looking to build one, but we highly encourage you to build yours to fit you.

First Vanguard
Officer Cadet, Erikk

Triggers:-
4 Blue Storm Battleship, “Wadatsumi” (Critical)
4 Blue Storm Battle Princess, Doris (Stand)
4 Sea Otter Soldier of the Blue Storm Fleet (Draw)
4 Medical Officer of the Blue Storm Fleet (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
2 Battle Siren, Cloris
4 Blue Storm Marine General, Hermes
2 Kelpie Rider, Nikki
1 Blue Storm Battle Princess, Electra (Sentinel)
2 Blue Storm Shield, Homerus (Sentinel)
1 Blue Storm Guardian Dragon, Icefall Dragon (Sentinel)

Grade 2s:-
4 Blue Storm Marine General, Ianis
4 Blue Storm Marine General, Milos
3 Blue Storm Marine General, Starless

Grade 3s:-
4 Blue Storm Marine General, Michael
2 Blue Storm Marine General, Sebastian
4 Blue Storm Marine General, Zaharias

Strides and G Guardians:-
2 Marine General of Heavenly Silk, Aristotle
4 Marine General of Heavenly Silk, Christos
4 Marine General of Heavenly Silk, Lambros
2 Marine General of the Heavenly Scales, Tidal Bore Dragon
4 Guard Leader of Sky and Water, Flotia (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • Officer Cadet, Erikk is the better First Vanguard to go with for this build instead of Blue Storm Cadet, Anos. The reason being that you would need to fish out grade 3s as soon as possible to do the following things, but not limited to: riding, striding and cost for Perfect Guards.
  • If you are unable to call out rear guards to rack up Waves consistently, Blue Storm Battle Princess, Doris is a good alternative to that. She’s the legion version of Officer Cadet, Alekbors and does not have a Generation Break limitation.
  • Battle Siren, Cloris was added to the deck for the sole purpose of betting on the chance of binding your Perfect Guard so that you can use it to bypass any guard restrictions. This is the main reason why I play Blue Storm Battle Princess, Electra and Blue Storm Shield, Homerus as their skills do not specify activating when it appears on the Guardian Circle from hand. Blue Storm Guardian Dragon, Icefall Dragon is there so that I can perform Legion at a much faster rate.
  • Because though this deck focuses on Legion and not Stride, I only play 2 Kelpie Rider, Nikki in order to increase the chance of Striding.
  • Both Milos and Starless help to rack up the number of Waves, while Ianis provides a pressure of drawing a card when the attack hits from the 3rd Wave onwards. As you can see, there is simply no place to play Gregorios (and also because I ran out of him lol).
  • As mentioned in the video, Blue Storm Wave Dragon, Tetra-burst Dragon (and Rolling Ripple, Miltiadis for obvious reasons) is the only Legion-specific grade 3 not to be played in this deck because his skill contradicts with the main purpose of this deck, which is to restand units as much as possible. The main star of this deck is Blue Storm Marine General, Zaharias, as his skill is heavily dependent on persona checking, but a great skill nonetheless in case you’re unable to check Stand triggers.

Make sure you check a Grade 3 and that the rear-gaurd circle in front of her is empty, so that you can get yourself an extra attack.
