Cardfight #95: G-TD13 Nubatama Trial Deck Profile

Hey, Rear-guards!

Cardfight #95 sees us pit the new G-TD13 Nubatama Trial Deck against Dempster’s Witch Oracle Think Tank deck. You can check the video above to see the bout, but if you’re interested in seeing the G-TD13 Trial Deck profile, we have it in this post.

If you want to check out what’s in the Witch deck, click here.

Take note that this build is one that is used for this cardfight. Changes may have been already made at this point in time by the owner. You are welcome to learn from this deck profile, if you are looking to build one, but we highly encourage you to build yours to fit you.

First Vanguard:-
Stealth Dragon, Madoi

Triggers:-
4 Stealth Dragon, Kokusha (Critical)
4 Stealth Fiend, Kakuregama (Stand)
4 Almsgiving Stealth Rogue, Jirokichi (Draw)
4 Stealth Rogue of Ravenousness, Kosode (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
4 Stealth Dragon, Gouka
2 Stealth Dragon, Seizui
4 Stealth Beast, Katarigitsune
4 Blockade Stealth Rogue, Matsuba (Sentinel-PG)

Grade 2s:-
4 Stealth Dragon, Shibari Kusari
2 Stealth Dragon, Genkai
3 Stealth Rogue of Dead Souls, Toranaga
2 Stealth Beast, Kabeitachi

Grade 3s:-
2 Demon Stealth Dragon, Shiranui “Oboro”
2 Demon Stealth Dragon, Jakenmyo-ou
4 Demon Stealth Rogue, Genba

Strides and G Guardians:-
2 Enma Stealth Dragon, Kingoku Tenbu
2 Secret Message Stealth Hermit, Abudataishi (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • The trial deck, to say the least, is scary to deal with. As a trial deck, the basic needs to take advantage of Domination are there to deal with most situations, with the rest of it being covered in its boost in G-BT11.
  • The increase in value makes a lot of sense, considering that it not only has added in G-Guardians, but also stride fodders for Shiranui. This is the most complete Trial deck that they have released. And rightfully so, as the game has evolved quite enough to warrant that they help cater to new players coming into the game.
  • Onto the deck itself, the idea is to take advantage of the Dominate ability to trigger more power onto your side, with Seizui, Jakenmyo-ou and Genkai. While it’s limited to a few turns with this build, a full deck build will want to take advantage of that increase in power and potentially hand size as well, through Genkai.
  • When you Dominate an opponent’s unit, your target should be something you can use. A dominated unit’s CONT and AUTO skills can be used, if you pay for their cost and meet their conditions, so knowing the skills of the units your opponent uses will be beneficial to your strategies as a Domination player.
  • If you strip it down to its bare essentials, the deck is a multi-attack type of deck, similar to an Aqua Force deck. The added ability of being able to use your opponent’s skills is where it edges out against them, but it is essentially that at its core.
  • Overall, the Trial Deck is a nice deck to play with and it is somewhat rewarding to play, if you are knowledgeable of all decks and builds in Vanguard. Just don’t suddenly decide to destroy Vanguard and we’ll be good. 🙂

Strides and G Guardians:-
2 Floral Witch Master, MiMi
2 Sunrise-on-high Godhawk, Ichibyoshi

Notes:-

  • There is not much notes to point out for this deck, as it isn’t a full build of a deck. All there is to say is that MiMi is best saved as a way to AND to finish your opponent with its skill, which is what I went for. But the deck is an pre-G Era deck build. So the deck itself has a few tricks up its sleeves to deal with any persistent opponents.80

Booster Pack: Demonic Advent (VG-G-BT11)

Cardfight #94: ZaCaptain’s Harri Pale Moon Deck Profile

Hey, Rear-guards!

Cardfight #94 sees us pit ZaCaptain’s Harri Pale Moon deck against JJ’s Zodiac Time Beast Gear Chronicle deck. You can check the video above to see the bout, but if you’re interested in seeing the Harri deck profile, we have it in this post.

If you want to check out what’s in the Zodiac Time Beast deck, click here.

Take note that this build is one that is used for this cardfight. Changes may have been already made at this point in time by the owner. You are welcome to learn from this deck profile, if you are looking to build one, but we highly encourage you to build yours to fit you.

First Vanguard:-
Pleasure Caster

Triggers:-
3 Poison Juggler (Critical)
1 Darkside Sword Master (Critical)
4 Prankster Girl of Mirrorland (Stand)
2 Explode Gentle (Stand)
2 Kitten Juggler (Draw)
4 Psycho Magician, Coulthard (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
4 Cutie Paratrooper
2 Dagger Magician, Ety
3 Masquerade Bunny
4 Lovely Companion (Sentinel-PG)

Grade 2s:-
2 Darkside Princess
4 Face Magician, Lappin
2 Dreaming Pegasus
1 Crescent Moon Juggler
3 Flying Peryton

Grade 3s:-
4 Masked Phantom, Harri
4 Masked Magician, Harri

Strides and G Guardians:-
4 Curtain Call Announcer, Mephisto
1 Parallel Megatick, Fairfield
2 Carnivorous Megatrick, Prana
2 Dreamiy Axel, Milward
2 Jester Demonic Dragon, Lunatec Dragon
1 Scream Dragon Master, Dolor Kimberly
1 Chainsaw Megatrick, Furnival (G-Guardian)
1 Doting Harlequin, Maja (G-Guardian)
2 Kinesis Megatrick, Coulthard (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • This deck, compared to what it was previously, is the return of the Pale Moon Circus show format, featuring acts (strides) that is more powerful than the last, featuring Dolor Kimberly in the finale of the show.
    • To put it into deck building words, I have reformed the deck to bring back the increasingly powerful stride turns with Prana, Milward, and Mephisto, that was the image I had when I first built the deck, while keeping the sustainability that Masked Phantom, Harri provided in his boost with G-CHB03. With the introduction of GB8, it adds to the “show” by being a penultimate stride to end the game, so the goal of this deck is to hit harder and harder until GB8, when you can hit the hardest.
  • In terms of strides, this is the first time I have been able to include Lunatec Dragon in the G Zone for this deck. It is a nice stride to be on while you are reaching GB8, but because he doesn’t come with the Magia ability, he will not contribute to Mephisto’s calling skill. Other strides all provide different approaches for most situations you are in, so there’s a nice variety.
  • Maja isn’t the most ideal G-Guardian to use, but she is still the only one that has a Magia ability. Thankfully, she makes an ideal target for Coulthard’s flip cost, so it can help you easily feed for both Mephisto and GB8.
  • Deck wise, the standard “get Cutie Paratrooper into the soul” still exists. Flying Peryton makes for a good alternative, and Dreaming Pegasus helps, even if you can’t call him out using Phantom Harri’s skill. I would suggest not using Phantom Harri’s stride skill, if you lack any junk soul, or riding up to Magician Harri before Phantom Harri, to get your soul set up. Prana is also there to help with that, in case you get the first stride and your ideal units end up in your hand instead of your soul.
  • As I have learnt, because the concentration of Stand triggers is higher, along with the fact that Prankster Girl can be sent back to the deck if you put her into the soul, it’s a good idea to make sure you have a rested unit on the field, when your Vanguard attacks, to benefit from checking a Stand. Sometimes, that means holding off on unit skills like Darkside Princess, but if you do get that stand, Darkside Princess can hit for much more harder than before.
  • And the last note to make here is that I only own 1 copy of Crescent Moon Juggler and Darkside Sword Master. I kind of like it at 1 copy, make it a little more tactical. On top of the fact that I have no means or desire to get a full playset yet.

First Vanguard:-
Chrono Dran G

Triggers:-
3 Pulsar, Rush Boar (Critical)
3 Chronovolley Rabbit (Critical)
2 Pulsar, Hypnosis Sheep (Stand)
2 Chronotimer Leghorn (Stand)
2 Chronodoze Sheep (Draw)
4 Chronotherapy Hamster (Heal)

Grade 1s:-
2 Chronocharge Unicorn
2 Chronodash Peccary
2 Chronoethos Jackal
2 Pulsar Tamer, Nepada
4 Steam Tamer, Arka (Sentinel-PG)

Grade 2s:-
3 Chronobeat Buffalo
2 Chronoclaw Monkey
2 Chronospin Serpent
3 Pulsar, Farm Peacock
2 Pulsar, Speedy Bunny

Grade 3s:-
3 Chronofang Tiger
2 Chronofang Tiger G

Strides and G Guardians:-
2 Chronodragon Nextage
2 Chronotiger Rebellion
1 Deus Ex Machina, Demiurge
4 Metapulsar, Altered Dragon
4 Metapulsar, Split Pegasus
3 Interdimensional Beast, Pandora Chimera (G-Guardian)

Notes:-

  • So this is the Zodiac Time Beast style of Demiurge. Instead of binding through the use of Gear Colossus, this deck is made of Zodiac Time Beasts entirely.
  • Ideally, you want to ride to Chronojet Dragon G to abuse his on-Stride skill to filter out the deck, while binding what you need to bind through Altered Dragon. Alternatively, if you are in need of pressure from the Rear-guards, you can easily switch to Split Pegasus to reinforce your field instead.
  • Chronofang Tiger is really there in the event that you ride into him. After the first Altered Dragon or Split Pegasus, his GB2 skill is great in case you have nothing to stride with.
  • The key to the deck is to be patient and be very careful in what you bind so that you have at least 12 Zodiac Time Beasts with different names. That being said, don’t be so eager to use Demiurge unless you are sure you can stave off the attacks coming your way and finishing off your opponent after.
  • With the prevalence of G Guardians, Demiurge is played not as a win condition in itself, but rather as the key to setting up for future turns. In fact, this deck has 3 different finishers provided. Chronodragon Nextage, Chronotiger Rebellion and Metapulsar, Altered Dragon. Personally, Nextage is my key finisher due to its restand ability, on top of Chronojet Dragon G’s skill, making it easily swing for 31000 to 36000 Power by himself. That’s not counting the rear-guards getting 4000-5000 Power boosts. That makes it quite nasty after a Demiurge turn.
  • Rebellion is pretty self explanatory. Whether it be before or a turn or two after Demiurge, it is the quadruple drive and extra critical that is the main thing.
  • If you go by the Altered Dragon route, it’s ability to gain 2000 Power for each card in the bind zone makes for an increasingly bigger Vanguard after every turn. Assuming you hit the 4th Altered Dragon, it is quite possible to have it at a mininal 50000 Power.
  • With all of that said, have fun trying this build, if you enjoy my concept of it, and all the best to your perfect future!
