News: Cardfight!! Vanguard Events @ Campus Game Fest 2016

Hello, fighters!

As some of you may already know from our latest vlog, we are hosting Vanguard events at the upcoming Campus Game Fest 2016 from 24th to 26th June 2016 at ITE College Central, here in Singapore.

We’ve been part of this event for a long time and with it being less than a week away, we are more than excited about the events we have planned for the participants, from new players to veterans of the game.

We, ourselves, are Vanguard players, so if the stuff we came up with sounds exciting to us, we’re most certain you guys will get a kick out of it, should you attend. Head on over to http://campusgamefest.org/ to learn more about what else is at the event, including eSports gaming, other card games, anime and Japanese culture events, and so on.

Now this blog post isn’t just to hype up CGF, that’s just around the corner. This blog post is here to give you guys more information about what’s going on Vanguard side of the event.

Well, first off, I’d like to direct your attention to the link here. This will lead you to the Cardfight!! Vanguard details on the Campus Game Fest 2016 webpage.

As you can see, we have single and team-of-3 tournaments happening on 25th and 26th June respectively in both Japanese and English language. Prizes will include promo packs and packs of the new G Booster Set 7: Glorious Bravery of Radiant Sword.

Now a few details have not been updated on that webpage so I will like to clarify some of the details regarding the tournaments.


  • All Tournament Details

To clarify, all tournaments held at CGF 2016 are in the Clan Fight format. So Clan Fight rules apply, and so does the restriction list.

Current Japanese Deck Restrictions

  • Fighters’ decks (including G-units) must only contain cards of the same clan, with the exception of the following:-
    • Cray Elemental cards;
    • Royal Paladin decks may contain up to 4 copies of “Blaster Dark“;
    • Link Joker decks may consist of cards with “Я” in their name.
    • Decks that include grade 3 cards without “Jewel Knight” in their card names cannot include “Jewel Knight, Swordmy” cards.

1 Copy per Deck

  • Doctroid Rifros (Angel Feather)
  • Cosmos Pixy, Lisbeth (Neo Nectar)

2 Copies per Deck

  • Flash Ripple, Odysseus (Aqua Force)
  • Cat Butler (Nova Grappler)

Cannot use as First Vanguard

  • Lizard Soldier, Conroe (Kagero)
  • Barcgal (Royal Paladin)

Cannot Be Used

  • Epitome of Knowledge, Silvest (Great Nature)

 

Current English Deck Restrictions

So for those that are participating in the tournaments, please do take note of these rulings. You can pre-register at the webpage or register on-site at the Cardfight!! Vanguard booth.

  • Single Tournament Details

The prizes for the Singles Tournament are as follows.

  1. There will be a $5 registration fee for every participant in the tournament
  2. All participants will receive 1 promo pack upon entry.
  3. The tournament is Single Elimination.
  4. The Top 8 will receive 2 promo packs (inclusive of entry) and 5 packs of GBT07.
  5. The Top 4 will receive 3 promo packs (inclusive of entry) and 10 packs of GBT07.
  6. 2nd Place will receive 4 promo packs (inclusive of entry) and 20 packs of GBT07.
  7. 1st Place will receive 5 promo packs (inclusive of entry) and 1 box of GBT07.
  • Team Tournament Details

There are some new details that isn’t updated on the CGF website. So please take note. This is an official and updated version of details regarding the Team-of-3 Tournaments.

  1. There will be a $5 registration for every team in the tournament.
  2. All Fighters in the team will receive 1 promo pack each upon entry.
  3. The Tournament is Single Elimination.
  4. You must play the deck you registered at the start of the tournament, and all fighters in the same team must play different clans. Because…
  5. Finals will be a Relay Fight.
  6. Fighters in the Top 8 will receive 2 promo packs each (inclusive of entry) and 5 packs of GBT07 as a team. (Unlike the promo packs, GBT07 packs are not awarded to each individual fighter)
  7. Fighters in the Top 4 will receive 3 promo packs each (inclusive of entry) and 10 packs of GBT07.
  8. Fighters in the 2nd Place team will receive 4 promo packs (inclusive of entry) and 20 packs of GBT07.
  9. Fighters in the 1st Place team will receive 5 promo packs (inclusive of entry) and 1 box of GBT07.

The rules of the relay fight are taken from the official Cardfight!! Vanguard website, which you can view here.

There will be no advising between team members during the fight.


 

With the Tournament stuff out of the way, let’s get to the event happening on Friday, 24th June 2016.

  • G Quest Event Details

As mentioned on the website, the G Quest Event is an objective-based game event, where players complete in-game objectives while playing Cardfight!! Vanguard. Complete enough objectives and you can win great prizes, from card sleeves to a box of G Booster Set 7: Glorious Bravery of Radiant Sword.

We provided a couple of quests in the website, but in this blog we will release the full list of quests you need to perform.

First off, the rules of the G Quest Event.

  1. Quests can only be completed at CGF 2016 om 24th June 2016 from 10am to 6pm.
  2. Quests can only be completed once.
  3. Quests must be completed with Clan Fight format decks.
  4. You must complete all quests in the grade before you can start completing quests in the next grade.
  5. All prizes will have limited quantity.
  6. Judges will need visual evidence before they can approve an objective as completed.
  7. Cheating to complete an objective will not be approved.
  8. Cooperation is highly encourgaed.

With that said, here is the official G Quest List.

First Vanguard Quest
Completion Prize: Quest List Form

  • Play a game of Cardfight!! Vanguard (Tutorials count)

Grade 0 Quests
Completion Prize: One 20-sided Die

  • Have 8 cards at any point in the game
  • Attack 3 times in an attack phase
  • Activate 5 card skills
  • Stride to a G Unit twice in one game.
  • Check two triggers in one turn
  • Successfully guard 5 times
  • Perform Legion
  • Activate a Limit Break skill
  • Win the game
  • Lose the game

Grade 1 Quests
Completion Prize: Two more 20-sided Dice

  • Use 2 G-Guardians in a single turn
  • Heal 2 damage in a single game
  • Perform G-Assist and win the game
  • Get an extra critical via card effect (Triggers count)
  • Defeat your opponent with a G unit
  • Activate 2 card effects in one move
  • Successfully guard an attack with 15000 shield (Perfect Guards do not count)
  • Successfully guard an attack with 20000 shield (Perfect Guards do not count)
  • Successfully guard an attack with 40000 shield (Perfect Guards do not count)
  • Draw 2 cards on your opponent’s turn in one game.

Grade 2 Quests
Completion Prize: 1 Card Sleeve Pack

  • Drive check 2 consecutive triggers
  • Stride 4 times in a single game
  • Call 8 rear-guards in a single game
  • Attack a unit with a Vanguard that has 32000 Power or higher (Boost count)
  • Attack a unit with a rear-guard that has 26000 Power or higher
  • Activate 6 card effects in one turn
  • Attack an opponent’s rear-guard with your Vanguard
  • Activate Generation Break 2 on your first stride
  • Call 2 G-Guardians in one battle
  • Use a Perfect Guard twice in a game

Grade 3 Quests
Completion Prize: 1 Playmat

  • Use 2 different Grade 3s as your Vanguard in one game
  • Hit an opponent’s unit with a unit that has 41000 Power and higher (Boosts do not count)
  • Deal 4 damage to your opponent in a single turn
  • Attack 6 times or more in a single turn
  • Heal at the last damage twice. (Separate games count)
  • Have your opponent intercept twice in a single battle
  • Deal 3 damage to your opponent and win the game
  • Declare Final Turn and win the game
  • Win a game using only up to 2 Sentinels
  • Successfully guard an attack using only one Grade 0, Grade 1 and Grade 2 each from your hand/field

Grade 4 Quest
Completion Prize: 1 Box of GBT07 (Language of your choice)

  • Complete at least 5 Cardfight!! Vanguard anime character quests in either the Original Era or G Era using the stated clan.

Original Era Character Quests

  • Sendou Aichi (Royal Paladin)– Win after activating Majesty Lord Blaster‘s skill, with no G-era cards, only 1 Blaster Blade and 4 Blaster Dark in the deck.
  • Kai Toshiki (Kagero)– Win with a deck containing only one copy of every type of Dragonic Overlord.
    • Dragonic Overlord, Dragonic Overlord (Break Ride), Dragonic Overlord “the End”, Dragonic Overlord “The Яe-birth”, Dragonic Overlord “The Great”, Dragonic Overlord “The X” and Dragonic Overlord “The Legend”.
  • Suzugamori Ren (Shadow Paladin)– Win the game with Phantom Blaster Dragon with 3 criticals (Triggers do not count)
  • Soryu Leon (Aqua Force)– Win on the 6th attack of the turn with a Vanguard with “Maelstrom” or “Blue Wave” in its card name.
  • Tokura Misaki (Oracle Think Tank)– On one of your triple drives, guess the top 3 cards correctly in order. Then win the game.
  • Katsuragi Kamui (Nova Grappler)– Stand 2 units with Asura Kaiser‘s skill. Then, win the game.
  • Ishida Naoki (Narukami)– Win after activating Armor Break Dragon‘s skill.
  • Olivier Gaillard (Gold Paladin)– Win with Bluish Flame Liberator, Prominence Core at 4 criticals (Triggers do not count)
  • Mitsusada “Koutei” Kenji (Dimension Police)– Win after retiring two of your opponent’s guardians using only Super Dimensional Robo, Daikaiser or Legendary Dimensional Robo, Daikaiser Leon‘s skill in one turn.
  • Void (Link Joker)– Win two separate games with Star-vader, “Omega” Glendios‘s Limit Break 5 skill and with Original Deletor, Eigorg‘s skill.
  • Christopher Lee (Great Nature)– Draw 7 cards at the end of the turn without using Honorary Professor, Chatnoir‘s skill. Then, win the game.
  • Yahagi Kyou (Spike Brothers)– Win after attacking 7 times in one turn with Demonic Lord, Dudley Emperor as your Vanguard.
  • Shinjou Tetsu (Dark Irregulars)– Win after using Stil Vampir‘s skill without any Snow Elemental, Hyyako in the deck.
  • Narumi Asaka (Pale Moon)– Attack with Nightmare Doll, Alice 5 times in a row. Then, win the game.
  • Sendou Emi (Bermuda Triangle)– Win with your Vanguard with “Pacifica” in its card name at 4 criticals (Triggers count)
  • Tatsunagi Rekka (Angel Feather)– Win with a deck containing only 2 Solidify Celestial, Zerachiel after activating Solidify Celestial, Zerachiel‘s Limit Break 4 skill and shouting “Kyun-kyun ride” every time you ride.

G Era Character Quests

  • Shindou Chrono (Gear Chronicle)– Gain an extra turn using Interdimensional Dragon, Mystery-flare Dragon‘s skill and win the game.
  • Kiba Shion (Royal Paladin)– With a Vanguard with “Altmile” in its card name, win a game with your deck out of Grade 2 units.
    • 14 Grade 2 units must be at accounted for at the start of the game.
  • Yumizuki Luna (Pale Moon)– With a Vanguard with “Harri” in its card name, call 15 units from your soul. Then, win the game.
  • Kanzaki Yuichiro (Shadow Paladin)– Retire 4 units with Supremacy Black Dragon, Aurageyser Damned‘s skill. Then, win the game.
  • Anjou Tokoha (Neo Nectar)– Win with a 70000 Power or more Vanguard with “Ahsha” in its card name. (Triggers count)
  • Chouno Am (Granblue)– With a Vanguard with “Nightrose” in its card name, perform 7 attacks in one turn. Then, win the game. (Stand triggers do not count)
  • Anjou Mamoru (Kagero)– With a Vanguard with “Dragonic Blademaster” in its card name, retire exactly 10 units using card effects, then win the game.
  • Jaime Alcaraz (Aqua Force)– Win on the 8th attack with a Vanguard with “Thavas” in its card name.
  • Asukawa Taiyou (Gold Paladin)– Win with your Vanguard as Sunrise Ray Radiant Sword, Gurguit at 151,000 Power or higher (Triggers and boost do not count)
  • Hashima Rin (Angel Feather)– Have your Vanguard with “Gavrail” in its card name at 51000 Power or higher during your opponent’s turn. Then, win the game.
  • Shinonome Shouma (Genesis)– With a Vanguard with “Fenrir” in its card name, soulblast 24 cards from the soul, then win the game.
  • Myoujin Ryuzu (Gear Chronicle)– Win with your Vanguard with “Chronofang Tiger” in its card name and 10 cards in the bind zone.
  • Katsuragi Kamui (Nova Grappler)– With a Vanguard with “Victor” in its card name, win with a rear-guard at 52000 Power or higher.
  • Kouji Ibuki (Link Joker)– Using Genesis Dragon, Excelics Messiah‘s skill, unlock and retire 5 of your opponent’s rear-guards in one turn. Then, win the game.
  • Tado Tsuneto (Oracle Think Tank)– With a Vanguard with “Susanoo” in its card name, win the game with 10 cards in your hand.
  • Moriyama Hiroki (Dimension Police)– Win with your Vanguard at 50000 Power or higher, and your front row rear-guards at 33000 power or higher. (Triggers and boost do not count)
  • Oyama Ryutaro (Narukami)– With Conquering Supreme Dragon, Dragonic Vanquisher “VOLTAGE” as your Vanguard, win after attacking with a rear-guard at 72000 Power and higher.
  • Nitta “Shin” Shinemon (Murakumo)– During the game, stand Ambush Demon Stealth Dragon, Homura Raider twice and attack 6 times in one turn twice. Then, win the game
  • (Tachikaze) – With Absolute Ruler, Gluttony Dogma as your Vanguard, call 4 units from the drop zone and win the game.
  • (Cray Elemental) – Win with Snow Element, Blizza at 101,000 Power. (Triggers and boost do not count)
